Spirits

I have recently been receiving a lot of attention about the potential exorcism of spirits. This seems to be a rather popular concern, so I'm going to attempt to address it here.

Warning : Spirits are VERY POWERFUL. You must NEVER invite a spirit into your home, or tell a spirit that if it comes to you that you will help it. Even if it is your dead great-grandfather's spirit, DON'T DO IT. If you do, your communication with the spirits can attract the attention of malicious spirits, who very well may try to take your body for their own; or kill you. This is not a game, this is not a joke. This is very serious, and you have been warned. Do NOT attempt this as a novice to the arts. This is advanced and difficult to do, and very very draining.

Step one, identification.

It is important to identify how many spirits are residing in the location you are attempting to clear. It is also very important to recognize the strength of each of these spirits, their social awareness, and their intentions. A kind, solitary, understanding spirit will be very easy to remove, whereas a very strong, malicious, leader spirit with followers will prove to be extremely difficult to remove. Spiritual cleansing can be related to a chess game. If you are playing a novice, or a weakling, things can be interesting in that you never really know what's going to happen. However, playing against a grand-master, you can learn to recognize the initial moves and gameplay. The end-game, however, is what is going to catch you off guard.

Step two, isolation.

Once the spirits are identified, you need to isolate them. I suggest finding the weakest first, and making sure that they are alone and have no intention of alerting the rest. It is at this point that you make it very clear that the spirit does not belong there, and that you are asking for it to leave the premises. If you have the proper balance of willpower and intent, the spirit will leave. This process can be repeated for the weaker, solitary ones, as removing them is the easiest.

Step three, confrontation.

This step doesn't always apply, but when it does I recommend finding someone more powerful to do it for you. Refer back to my warning before proceeding. These spirits often have followers. Keep in mind that they are FOLLOWERS, and just like in WOW when you kill an NPC Shaman his totems leave with him. Utilize this logic, and target the main spirit. Try to set up a void or funnel to channel any malicious energy directly to the earth (much like grounding electricity). I use a wooden bowl filled with chrysoprase chips scattered around a candle, with apache tears and jade arranged in a circular pattern around the inside of the bowl. This can help redirect anything targeting you, and can also be used as a spiritual vortex to banish the spirit. Try a similar process, informing the spirit that he/she is to leave immediately. Chances are, it won't work. This is where intent + willpower is VERY important. It is CRITICAL that you have the proper balance of the two, or you could be in for quite a terrifying experience.

Step four, banishment

Reaching this stage is about as terrifying as it gets. Anything can happen. Again, willpower + intent = power. This is very important to remember. Imagine a baking soda + vinegar reaction. Too much baking soda and there is an imbalance. Little reaction. Too much vinegar and there is an imbalance. Little reaction. The best reaction, with the least wasted material, comes from a proper molar balance of the two. For bigger reactions, maintain the balance and add to each. The same holds true with intent and willpower. Step one of this process is learning to control the two so that you can combine them for simple spells and such. Step two is learning the proper balance, where very little energy can reap pretty solid rewards. Step three is learning to maintain the balance while you add more to each, thus increasing your power by leaps and bounds.

Once you have the proper balance and strength, you need to direct it towards the spirit. Entering a state of altered consciousness is most beneficial here. You will directly confront the spirit itself by entering the shadow realm (a process I refuse to discuss) and finding the spirit. You assault it with banishing spells, condemning it to the earth and quite literally forcing it from the premises. Immediately after, you want to prepare a hedge of protection to keep the spirit from returning. This is often achieved by preparing a spiritual vortex to absorb any energy cast in the place, and then protected by a large, circular shield drawn to surround the entire building.

These four steps, when used by a skilled practitioner, can cleanse a house and protect it. Again, refer back to my warning for clarification. This isn't a joke, this isn't a game. This is quite real. You HAVE been warned.

*note -> This method ONLY works on buildings. Attempting such a procedure on a human will most likely kill them. Such procedures are easily 100x more difficult and delicate, and require a true master to successfully perform. I also, will not describe the technique used for this as it is very dangerous. I won't even attempt it.*
